Shiva devotees undertake a fasting from sunrise to sunset on the Pradosham day. When the Pradosh Vrata day falls on a Tuesday it is known as Bhauma Pradosh. Basant Navaratra starts :Mata Basanti Puja, or Vasant Durga Puja, is observed during the Chaitra Navratri festival.
