Parinirvana - Nirvana day : Mahayana Buddhist festival marking the anniversary of Buddha's death. Pure Land Buddhists call the festival "Nirvana Day". Parinirvana is celebrated by some Buddhists on February 8th.

Thaipusam : This festival usually takes place in the temples dedicated to the Kartikeya or Mariamman. Trenches of burning coal are laid out for the devotees to walk over. People who volunteer to undertake this experience with faith, come away unharmed and unscathed.

Ganesh Vrat : The Ganesh Chaturthi Vrat, fast of Ganesh Chaturthi and the importance of the vrat of Ganesh Chaturthi is provided here. Ganesh Chaturthi is the festival of ‘Lord Ganesh’. Ganesh Chaturthi Festival is one of most auspicious fast (vrat) for the devotees of lord Ganesh. people believes that the vrat of Ganesh Chaturthi can give them wisdom, mind power and success. lord ganesh is known as son of lord shiva & parvati.

Losar : Losar is the Tibetan New Year shared also by the Sikkimese and enjoyed with lot of gaiety and festivity in the month of February. The Tibetans cwelcome their new year by performing Yak dance on the streets and throwing sampa. They embrace the new year by shouting "Tashi Delek". The Tibetan community continue festivities for more than a week with their brocades, jewelry, songs, dances and picnics. The most important buddhist holiday in Tibet, marking the Tibetan New Year. The celebration lasts three days from today.

Nirvana day (alternative date) : Nirvana Day is also known as Parinirvana and is celebrated by some Buddhists on February 8th. Nirvana Day is the celebration of Buddha's death when he reached total Nirvana, at the age of 80.

Samarth Guru Ramdas Jayanti : Ramdas was one of the greatest saints of the world. He was the inspirer of Shivaji. He was born of Suryaji Panth and Renuka Bai in Jamb, Maharashtra, in 1608 A.D. His original name was Narain.

Dayananda Saraswati Jayanti : Swami Dayanand Saraswati was the first to proclaim India for Indians. Lokmanya Tilak also said that Swami Dayanand was the first who proclaimed Swarajya for Bharat i.e.India.

Vijaya Ekaadashi 11 Vrat : Vijaya Ekadashi occurs during the waning phase of moon (Krishna Paksha) in February – March. The greatness of this Ekadasi is mentioned in the Skanda Purana and observing of Vijaya Ekadasi helps in removing all the guilt associated with sins committed and also helps in attaining victory.

Maha Shivratri Vrat : Maha Shivratri or Maha Shivaratri (Night of Shiva) is a Hindu festival, celebrated all over the country with much pump and enthusiasm. The festival usually falls every year on the 13th night/14th day in the Krishna Paksha of the month of Maagha (as per Shalivahana) or Phalguna (as per Vikrama) in the Hindu calendar.

Barah Wafaat : Barah Wafat observed as the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. Barah Wafat is also known as Id Milad-un-Nabi. It is the twelfth day of Rabi-ul-Awwal ( September- October ), third month of the Muslims calendar. This sacred day is both the birth and death anniversary of the Prophet.

Holika Dahan : This is pre-eminently the spring festival of Bharat. The trees are smiling with their sprout of tender leaves and blooming flowers.
