Hiya!

I'm writing an essay at the moment on the differences between racism and religious separatism (i.e. you only marry within a faith). I believe in marrying only someone who is hindu like me. Don't say 'what if you fall in love with someone who isn't of same faith' because I won't. Religion is part of your soul, and love is the bond between two souls, so how can two souls join if they are not of the same beliefs?
Anyways, I want to know what hinduism says about the subject, are there any teachings on religious separatism?

Any help before Monday would be appreciated... cheers!

Hi. I wondered how many young people really like to learn Hindu stories and such. Anyone? Why? Why not? I am learning to love it. Anyone else out there?

Hindu mythological stories are extremely interesting and they are full of meanings--
=============================================
EGO IS EGO WHOEVER EXHIBITS IT
=============================================
Once upon a time, Lord Brahma, the god of creation had a very egoistic thought, " I LIVE FOREVER...THE POOR MAN ON EARTH, LIVES ONLY  LESS THAN A MICRO-MICRO-MICRO-SECOND".
=============================================
Lord Brahma was indeed right in his conclusion. A Brahma lives for 36,000
kalpas or 36,000 x 2000 x 4,320,000 human years, that is about 311.40 trillion human years.
=============================================
But poor Brahma did not realize the fact that after 311.40 trillion human years he will also die!!! and another Brahma will take over the rein of creation. This world  we see had been created and destroyed millions of times. Even Lord Brahma has taken birth and died millions of times. Anyway, Lord Vishnu came to know about Lord Brahma's EGO and decided to teach him the truth.
=============================================
One day, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma were walking through the forest. After a long walk, they saw a saint  with body full of hair. He was called ROMESHA, and he was meditating under a tree. Lord Vishnu asked: "Hello, Holy one! Can you please tell us how long do you live?"
=============================================
ROMESHA was perplexed to see both Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma in front of him and apart from that he did not know why, Lord Vishnu who knows "past, present and future" asked him such a question. He was very confused.So he answered: "GOD OF GODS, I ONLY LIVE FEW YEARS."
=============================================
Lord Vishnu said again," Holy one, it is very important to us know, how long do you live???" Romesha said: WHEN ONE BRAHMA DIES, I WILL LOSE ONE HAIR AND WHEN I LOSE ALL
HAIRS IN MY BODY, I WILL DIE." Romesha's answer destroyed the EGO of Lord Brahma completely. But both Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma continued walking through the forest and finally they met SAGE ASHTAVAKRA [ THE SAINT WITH 8 CURVES ON THE BODY]. Sage Ashtavakra who was the Guru of King Janaka, the father of Sita Devi. He is also considered to be one of the SAPTA RISHIS, the  SEVEN MASTERS OF HINDUISM. His book is
known as ASHTAVAKRA GITA, a conversation between him and King Janaka.
=============================================
Lord Vishnu asked: "HOLY ONE, HOW MANY YEARS DO YOU LIVE?" Due to  very humble nature, sage Ashtavakra refused to answer the question, but after repeated questions from Lord Vishnu, Ashtavakra said:
=============================================
" I  LIVE ONLY VERY FEW YEARS.....WHEN ONE ROMESHA SAINT DIES, ONE OF MY CURVES WILL STRAIGHTEN OUT....WHEN I STRAIGHTEN OUT ALL MY EIGHT CURVES, I WILL DIE."
=============================================
Now Lord Brahma became very very humble. He understood that fact that
=========================================
1. TIME DEVOURS EVERYTHING.
=========================================
2. EXCEPT BRAHMAN - GOD, EVERYTHING ELSE ALWAYS CHANGES AND PERISHABLE.
=========================================
3. GOD ALONE IS REAL AND FOREVER. That God is undefinable
