Not only do I find Miss World degrading to women anyway, but when It comes to an Indian woman winning it,it makes me feel very ashamed . Hindu womanhood through thousands of years had always represented the highest in spiritual and moral values in our culture,but now look she's become a focus of lust on the world stage. What do you think?

its sort of an enigma... i feel proud that indian beauty and intelligence is being appreciated by the whole world... but at the same time, it saddens me that the modesty of hindu womanhood is lost by taking part in these contests of the flesh...

but i guess the good outweighs the bad, coz the new miss world can help alleviate the suffering amongst her people through her influential position, and draw the world's attention toward the problems india faces...

Beauty is art. Miss world does not conform to flesh beauty alone. It includes personality and intelligence as well. I don't see any problem with modelling and beauty contest as long as it does not involve vice. Indian girls participating in beauty contest at world stage or any stage for that matter is anytime better girls then girls involved in vice activities behind doors.

Yes, Arjun in one way you are correct. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is not just skin deep or in the flesh. The real beauty is inside in the woman's Spiritual Heart which are love, compassion, forgiveness, sacrifice, saatvic chracter and so on. Winning Miss world in nothing but a fake boost to the the ahamkar. You cannot go far with such titles, they are only for name sake. At the most they are a sort of entertainment in the success/fame hungry society...... Such beauty never lasts but the inner beauty of the SOUL is forever beautiful.....
