KOLKATA,AUGUST 14: The body of Dhanonjay Chatterjee, who was hanged to death for raping and murdering Hetal Parekh at Alipore Central Jail today, was handed over to Hindu Satkar Samity for the final ritual. Inspector General of Prison Joydeb Chakraborty told reporters after the hanging that the body of Dhanonjoy had been handed over to the Hindu Satkar Samity for the final rituals after the criminal's family had refused to accept the body. The body was taken to cremation ground after the post mortem. No representative of Dhanonjoy's family had attended the execution.
