Gore Vidal Sells "Kalki" Film Rights

HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Gore Vidal has sold the film fights to his
apocalyptic bestseller ``Kalki'' to the producer of the box office bomb
``Destiny Turns on the Radio.''
The novel is a doomsday tale of a female reporter who investigates an
American leader of a Hindu cult who claims he will end the world.
Producer Gloria Zimmerman bought the rights for undisclosed terms and has
hired ``Destiny'' co-writer Matthew Stone to adapt the book.
