ahi-sirasi sametam venum apurayantam
valanavalanagatya kaliyam calayantam
kutila-valayastya tat phanam darayantam
namata namata nityam sri yasoda-sutam tam

"On the head of the serpent Kaliya, He plays his flute,
darting and dancing about artisticallt as He trounces
Kaliya. With a deft whack from His bent stick, He splits
the creature's head. Bow down, bow down to Him, the eternal 
son of mother Yasoda."
