Birthday of Guru Hargobind (As per Nanakshahi Calendar) : Guru Hargobind was born at Wadali village in June 1595 and was the only child of Guru Arjan Dev. He was invested with the Guruship on May 25, 1606 just days before his fathers martyrdom.

Vrat Poornima : Purnima or Poornima is an auspicious day in Hinduism. Poornima is the full moon day and many important rituals and festivals takes place on full moon day.

Naag Panchami (Bengal & Rajasthan) : It is on the fifth day of the bright half of the Shravan that Naga Panchami, or the festival of snakes, is celebrated in India. Snake worship, no doubt, owes its origin to man's natural fear of these reptiles.

Kark Sankranti at 25/35 : The movement of one zodiac sign into another is called Sankranti. Movement in the in northern direction (Uttarayan) is called Makar Sankranti and in southern as Kark Sankranti (Dakshinayn).

Kaamda Ekaadashi Vrat : The Amavasaya of Chaitra month is the last day of Hindu year and on the next day begins the new year according to Hindu calendar and the Chaitra Navratras.

Shivratri of the month : Most people must be aware of the Mahashivaratri but for hardcore Shiva devotees there is a Shivratri in each month. It happens on the ‘Krishna Paksha Chaturdasi’ of each lunar month. ‘Krishna Paksha’ is the dark fortnight of a lunar month.
