Parshuram Jayanti : Parashuram was the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. On the third day of the bright fortnight of Vaishakh month, the appearance day of Bhagwan Parshuram is celebrated. This festival is also called the Akshaya Trutiya.. The fruits of good deeds become permanent on this day.

Vainayaki Ganesh Vrat : One important way of Lord Ganesha's upasana is Vratas(vows and observances) by which one can try to get blessings form Lord Ganesha and achieve the peace of mind.

Soordas Jayanti : Surdas, the blind saint and poet, sang about the childhood adventures of Lord Krishna. The bhajans that Surdas sang were simple, easy to sing and contained short incidents from the life of Krishna peppered with philosophical teachings and moral lessons. Sursagar is his collection of poetry and is an important literary work that helped in spreading the Bhakti movement in North India. In 2009, the date of Surdas Jayanthi is April 29.

Sri Shankaracharya : The permanent charm of the name of Sri Shankara Bhagavatpada, the founder of the Sringeri Mutt, lies undoubtedly in the Advaita philosophy he propounded. It is based on the Upanishads and augmented by his incomparable commentaries. He wrote for every one and for all time. The principles, which he formulated, systematized, preached and wrote about, know no limitations of time and place.

May Day; Ganga Saptami : There are several auspicious days in the Vedic or Vaisnava calander year in honor of mother Ganga's pastimes. They are Aksaya-trtiya, Ganga-saptami, also known as Jahnu-saptami, Ganga-dushara, also known as Sri Ganga-puja, and Sri Ganga Sagara Mela.

Birthday of Guru Arjan Dev (As per Nanakshahi Calendar) : Guru Arjun's multifarious activities, apart from making a very major contribution to the organisation of the mission, demonstrate, as laid down by Guru Nanak, that no field of life, whether temporal, social or political, is excluded for the operation of a mystic. Slowly but surely the movement came out with a distinct identity of its own and with clear-cut religious- and sociopolitical facets.

Mohini Ekaadashi Vrat : Mohini Ekadashi, sometimes referred as Vaishak Sudi Ekadasi, falls in the Shukla paksha of the Hindu month of Vaisakh (April – May). Purshottam Lord Rama is worshipped on Mohini Ekadashi. Observing Mohini Ekadasi Vrat is said to overcome the sadness in day to day life and help one to get rid of the ignorance and distress caused by illusion (Maya).

Buddha Purnima / Vaisakhi Purnima : Buddha Poornima, which falls on the full moon night in the month of Vaisakha (either in April or May), commemorates the birth anniversary of Lord Buddha, founder of Buddhism. Notwithstanding the summer heat (the temperature routinely touches 45 degrees C).

Achala Ekaadashi : Apara Ekadasi is observed during the Krishna Paksha (second fortnight) of the month Vaisakha masam. Importance and significance of Apara Ekadasi was explained by Lord Sri Krsihna to Yudhistira (Dharma raj). Apara Ekadasi is also called as Vaishak Vadi Ekadashi or Achala Ekadashi.

Birthday of Guru Amar Das (As per Nanakshahi Calendar) : Guru Amar Das was born in the village of Basarke on May 5, 1479. He was the eldest son of Tej Bhan a farmer and trader. Guru Amar Das grew up and married Mansa Devi and had two sons Mohri and Mohan and two daughters Dani and Bhani. He was a very religious Vaishanavite Hindu who spent most of his life performing all of the ritual pilgrimages and fasts of a devout Hindu.

Maharana Pratap Jayanti : Maharana Pratap Jayanti is a famous festival celebrated in Rajsamand District . Maharana Pratap Jayanti is celebrated every year on Ashad shukla 3rd in May-June . It is Famous that The Kumbhalgarh Fort of Rajsamand was the birthplace Of Maharana Pratap.

Jamai Shashti (Bengal) : Jamai Shashti is celebrated as the Son-in-Law Day, in the city of Kolkata. Jamai Shashti is commonly celebrated in the month of June. The auspicious day is dedicated to the son-in-law and hence the name Jamai Shashti. The day is actually a party thrown by the in-laws for the welfare of their daughter and her husband.

Shruti Panchami (Jain) : The day of completion of first written text (Agama) of Jainism Named – ‘SHATKHANDAGAMA’, two thousands years ago. Authors were great ‘Acharya Pushpadanta’ & ‘Bhootbali’.

Ganga Dashahara : During this festival ten days of the month are devoted to the worship of Holy River Ganga venerated by the Hindus as a mother as well as a goddess. Places such as Rishikesh, Haridwar, Garh-Mukteswar, Prayag, Varanasi etc where Ganga flows hold special significance on this day.
